2017-2018 Weekly Updates

A Peek at this Week 

Monday  1/1- Off
Tuesday 1/2- Time Trial at Wirth​.  M​eet there with your own transportation and ski pass ready to Skate ski​ at 10am until 12pm​.​
Wednesday 1/3 -Skate practice at Wirth.  Meet there with your own transportation and ski pass at​ 10am to noon​.​
Thursday 1/4 - Race at 3:45 at Wirth Park
 ​11 AM:  Meet at school to wax skis before bus to meet.  Bring a bag lunch to eat at school. Bring a water bottle for race.  
​   1:30:   Bus departs to race at Wirth.
   3:45:   First racers start.
               Info for parents:  Dress warmly (snow pants, boots, warm coat, etc) as you will be standing around 
               outside to watch the races.  *WEAR YOUR ORANGE FLEECE SCARF if you made one at the info night so 
               we can find each other.  New parents: ask an older parent where / how to watch the races and where 
               to stand along the course.  Please be careful not to walk across the ski trails (especially the classic 
               "tracks").  Results will be sent out from Park Nordic afterwards.
Friday 1/5 - CLASSIC practice at Wirth.  Meet there with your own transportation and ski pass at​ 10 am to noon​.​ All skiers should have a starter pack of 3 waxes and cork (like the one from Swix that you can get at Hoigaard's) - red, green, blue waxes.  practice

Please see Calendar Tab for upcoming races.  Note that races may be canceled due to snow conditions.

Winter Banquet is TBD

The above schedule is subject to change - skiers should have all equipment each day. (running shoes & skis)
Skiers should also bring in ski equipment and storing it in lockers so it's ready to go!

Practices start at 3:15 pm and go until 5:30 pm at the High School (Once on snow, it may be 6pm due to traffic).  If you are roller skiing you need to have a helmet and be ready promptly after school ends.  The weather is getting colder, all skiers need to be properly dressed (hats and gloves).
