St. Louis Park High School is home to the Orioles and a competitive girls’ soccer program consisting of:

Prior to the start of school, the first week is, 7:30 to 3:30 Monday through Thursday.  Friday the 19th will be 7:30 to 11:304:30 to 8:30.  Week two will be MWF 1 to 9, Tue/Thur 1 to 8.  
Once school starts, the regular ATR time, 
3:00 to 5:30.

Key Dates for 2016 Fall Season
 
 
Tryouts
August 14 - 18, 2017 Try-Outs will be held at the SLP Stadium and Louisana Oaks (LAO). Our first day we'll all meet at the Stadium from 7:00 - 10:00 AM.  On Tuesday, and the rest of the week, we'll start each day at LAO.  Some players will run up and back to the stadium throughout the first week, lucky them.  The times are as follows:
Monday 7:00 - 10:00 AM
Tuesday 3:00 to 6:00 PM
Wednesday 7:00 - 10:00 AM
Thursday 3:00 - 6:00 PM**
Friday 7:00 - 10:00 AM 
Saturday there will be scrimmages for JV and Varsity at SLP vs Breck.  Starting August 21, teams will be training independently at LAO or the Stadium.

Season Practice and Games
 
2017 Season: August 21 – November 3, 
Practices prior to start of school: Varsity will be on the turf and in order to give both Football and Boys soccer time in the stadium, times will vary. We may  go in the morning, afternoon or early evening Monday-Saturday.  JV and C Squad will be more consistent and at LAO.
Once school starts practice times shift to after school M-F at LAO for JV and Frosh.
Varsity will continue to vary in order to be on the turf and to maximize training and rest.

Most Fridays, varsity will train from 6:45 - 8:00 AM to clear the afternoon.
When the varsity plays on grass, we may train  for a day or two on grass prior.  
Games: Two or three per week, days of week depend on team, see GoPark for scheduling info.
Post-Season Play
Section Team Practices and Games begin in October.  The time is TBD.

Senior Recognition Game
Towards the end of the season, usually the last home game, this event is organized by Junior parents and players.  Senior parents and players are invited to be recognized for their contributions to the program.  At halftime of the final home game there is a presentation along with a reception were players are recognized by teammates, which may or may not be on the same night.
Post Section Training and Tournament Play At the conclusion of the regular season and post season play, the program will continue to offer opportunities for those not in other sports.  We are allowed to train until the end of the State Tournament, October 31.

Section Designation Information:
·        160 A and AA schools compete for the two Minnesota State High School League (MSHL) Tournament Soccer Championships.
·        In order to be one of the 8 teams to qualify for the MSHL State Tournament, a school must win its Section.
·        St. Louis Park is categorized as a 6AA school based on size and socioeconomic statistics.
